Just a word of thanks to your excellent staff, from the controllers to the officers, who attended to my needs on the evening of 15 December 2009.

At about midnight 15 December I was not feeling very well and asked my wife to get me to hospital as soon as possible. It came as a shock to her and I immediately told her to push the panic button on the alarm. Within minutes your officers arrived and assisted us in a

very professional way that made me feel more at ease at the time. When ER24 did not arrive within 5 minutes my wife assisted me to Netcare Hospital herself. Your officers offered to take me to hospital in their patrol car and made sure my wife was calm and safe when she followed by car. The officers involved were Dudley Botha, Brian Michaels, Andre Linder and Morne Veldsman. I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff on a job well done and will recommend your services to anyone interested. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect there be such a professional service still available. I ended up at Netcare N1 having a major heart bypass. Thanks for having a hand in saving my life.

Hi Tamlyn,

I just want to commend the guys that came out to my home this week. They were very professional and made every effort to keep me informed on what they were doing. I most specifically appreciated their approach to the job. The seemed to concern themselves with the unnecessary costs that I may have to incur should they have to execute the job incorrectly: and inmy book that is the kind of empathy that earns significant respect. Further, they seemed to be very careful of just dong stuff willy nilly and offered input and suggestions into every aspect of the requirement and subsequently, I got a product that does not have to be duplicated or done over once my renovations have been finalised.

Overall, Pieter and his team way exceeded my expectation!

Yesterday you very kindly fitted me in at short notice to have my entire house’s alarm system rewired.

I am writing to you to COMPLIMENT your team consisting of TIM and ADRIAN.

They arrived promptly at 8:30am and we discussed the work to be done and they got stuck in straight away.  They worked hard the WHOLE day right through until 9pm last night (shame they certainly were tired by then).  My husband and I were so impressed with the quality of work, the quality of your team – what lovely guys, the utmost professionalism they displayed at all times and their willingness to please us as the client – even after working over 12 hours yesterday.

Your chaps saw that they were going to be working late so they call Pieter to help them who arrived and was also just as nice as Tim and Adrian.

Just a word of appreciation for the excellent service I received from Start alarms. In particular from Louis.

I had 'n problem with my alarm and Louis was on hand to give me the correct information and guidance.  It ended up in replacing the alarm(the old one had been discontinued some time ago).  Louis organized and installer for late on Friday afternoon and when the installer could not finish in time, Louis offered additional patrols for the weekend while the alarm was not working.

On Monday morning Louis was at my house at 10 o'clock(as promised) to sort the niggles and by the time I got home, I had a working alarm system.

I must also compliment your staff. They are always friendly and ready to assist where possible.

I came over from ADT and have never looked back.

“Good Morning Craig Further to our telephone conversation yesterday, may I express my appreciation for the manner in which your staff handled our situation. A special word of thanks to Marthina for understanding our dilemma and although she was sick and it was a short notice request from my side, she went out of her way and arranged to have the installation / link up done on Monday 12 / 05 / 08.

Both Steven and Conrad did their best to re-activate the system. They however ran into problems out of their control. I assumed they called or help, which in itself was appreciated as well. They did not just leave ‘to come back later’.

Then Louis arrived and being the expert he is, managed to rectify and reactivate the system 80%. They promised to be back the following day to complete the job. I have noticed that neither Louis nor Steven were in any hurry to rush the job. Their mission was to satisfy their customer and even worked until way after 20h00. Please convey our appreciation to these two gentlemen as well.

Yesterday (13/05/08) your staff returned as promised. Completed the job successfully, tested the system and Steven systematically explained how everything was linked.

With all the staff from STAR ALARMS whom I have been dealing with in this short period of time, I have no doubt in my mind that STAR ALARMS will reach extreme heights and become a force to be reckoned with.

believe it imperative to give credit where credit is due, this considering the often apathetic and substandard service and/or support one often experiences; as a result I decided to forward this to you.

I would like to thank you for the professional approach and service received from your entire team at Star, from reception, alarm control room operator, technicians during installation, your technical manager Mr Louis Burger. When messages are left or e-mails are sent, it’s not long and the relevant Star staff member returns my call or I receive the desired reply e-mail. Scheduled appointments are met on time with enthusiasm and true client interest at heart. A tremendous amount of experience and technical knowhow is brought to the table, this while remaining competitive when compared.

The above is my experience over the past three months with two installation projects, one at my business premises in Montague Gardens and the other at my private residence. I have no doubt Star will grow from strength to strength considering.

Steven who installed our equipment was friendly, efficient and very professional. His attention to detail was amazing and he stayed after hours to finish the job (with a smile). You can really see that he has pride in what he does. Even though it got fairly late, he didn’t rush the job and treated it as if it was the first one of the day. He did proper testing and asked me on numerous occasions whether I was satisfied with the outcome.

I believe that too often people are too quick to draft complaint letters, and little time is spent on compliments.

"Hello again,
I want to congratulate STAR ALARMS on their quick response and reaction to our alarm going off on Sunday evening at 12 o’clock. I heard knocking on my front door on the street – my dog’s went ballistic. As I listened I heard more knocking and then Ryans alarm went off. Within 5 minutes both the police and star alarms were outside and actually found the White guy still outside Ryans street door. We don’t know what the story was…Ryan thinks he was drugged up but he was thoroughly questioned and eventually moved off. If you can, please try and find out what his story was…….it is really nerve wrecking when something like that happens.

But full marks to Star Alarms and the police (I don’t know how they were involved?) They were amazing. Please pass this on to all concerned. We are very impressed!

Around 01h30 this morning, the 16th of October 2008, I heard glass breaking at my premises, I looked out the window and noticed a
person in a striped shirt climbing over the neighbours wall. He then disappeared down the road. About half an hour later he reappeared across the road and was discussing two black boxes in a shopping trolley with a vagrant.

At 02h00 I called your response desk and asked for assistance and this is where the story of excellent service begins.

Firstly your man on the desk was very efficient in the way he handled the call. Secondly, the vehicle response time was less than a minute. The gents deployed were very efficient in the way they dealt with the individual and in the manner that they combed the area for stolen property. This stolen property included baby clothes, radios, DVD players, amplifiers etc.

I have in the past always had good service from STAR ALARMS but this will be remembered for a long time as being exceptional.
Please pass my congratulations on to the team and keep up the good work. Crime in our country is on an unacceptably high level and with this form of dedication I see success in reducing this scourge.”

I am writing to you with great gratitude for star alarms.

Yesterday I got home at 5 noticing that my neighbour’s door is open without their cars being there. I hooted in front of the house, when I received no response I realized that something wasn’t right. I went to the shop to buy airtime. On my way back I phoned 10111, the time was 17:10. I arrived back at home, went inside my house, keeping an eye on the open door of my neighbour’s house. My neighbour arrived about 18:20, while I am still waiting for the police. At about 19:10 I phoned Star Alarms for support as we still thought that there still might be people inside the house. It was a few minutes and Star Alarms patrol arrived. I asked the gentleman if he could please assist us by calling the Police for us, he informed us very politely and with tremendous respect that he will try his best. He spoke to your control room and it was in minutes that the police arrived!!!! I have joined Star Alarm in June 2008, after they broke into our house and ever since I have never had a bad experience ( I truly hope it stays that way).

Please will you give my thanks and appreciation to all staff involved? Please keep up the excellent work!!

PS. I came to discover that my panic button doesn’t send a signal out to the control room, can you please advice how I can get that fix and if it will cost anything.

This is just a short note of special thanks to JP who came to my house on Friday morning after I experienced some trouble with my teenage son. I live at 21 A Blue Mountain Bay, Blouberg Sands. As a single parent, I resorted to calling Green Platoon to ask if they would assist if my son came to my house intoxicated in the middle of the night. JP came with and it was him in the end who spoke at length with my son. JP was also aware of the trouble my son caused earlier at Dolphin Ridge in Big Bay so he really is clued up with what is going on in the area.

He really cares about the community and I could see that his heart went out to us as he saw the struggles.

For me that was going beyond the call of duty and it was much appreciated.  Its not just a matter of apprehending criminals but also showing genuine care for the drug and alcohol problems that is so rife amongst the youth today and going the extra mile to help where he can.

“We have been STAR ALARM’s clients for just over two years, ever since hour house was broken into and my housekeeper and I were
robbed and beaten. We’ve had a few occasions whereby we have had to call upon your services in the last two years but they have mostly minor in nature.

Tonight, however, was different. We had the embarrassing misfortune of having locked ourselves in out master suite (we now have security gates inside the house as well) without taking the keys with us. We were stuck in the back of our house with no way out. We pondered our options – if we broke the window that would put us outside, in the dark, with no access to our well secured house and the kitchen where the keys are kept. We decided to call STAR, explain our situation and ask for assistance.

The response time was excellent after which your men climbed over our perimeter wall and were able to speak to us through our en suite shower window. We asked them to break a window we indicated would be the best to retrieve our keys.

I must commend these men for their professionalism and concern for our well-being. They were reluctant to break the window and leave our house unsecured for the night even though I told them that we could lock that wing of the house off from the rest of the place. Using only the tools that they had on hand, these gentlemen removed the 1 metre square glass pane from the window in one piece without a crack or scratch! Once they had released us they replaced the glass and wood strips holding it into place!

We were very impressed with their courtesy, professionalism, capability and obvious concern for our welfare.

Although there was no emergency, the officer arrived promptly, jumped over the garden wall opened the front door and managed to get the garage door working again from inside the house.

Once again I would like to thank you and your company as the service we have had from Star. To date this has exceeds that of Chubb and ADT.

Security is clearly of utmost importance especially to two women and your company has made us feel that you understand that. We are not just a number or a new account but actual people that are given care and consideration. How refreshing.

RE: Service par excellence

Just a word of thanks to your excellent staff, from the controllers to the officers, who attended to my needs on the evening of 15 December 2009.

At about midnight 15 December I was not feeling very well and asked my wife to get me to hospital as soon as possible.  It came as a shock to her and I immediately told her to push the panic button on the alarm.  Within minutes your officers arrived and assisted us in a very professional way that made me feel more at ease at the time.  When ER24 did not arrive within 5 minutes my wife assisted me to Netcare Hospital herself.  Your officers offered to take me to hospital in their patrol car and made sure my wife was calm and safe when she followed by car.  The officers involved were Dudley Botha, Brian Michaels, Andre Linder and Morne Veldsman. 

I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff on a job well done and will recommend your services to anyone interested. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect there be such a professional service still available. I ended up at Netcare N1 having a major heart bypass. Thanks for having a hand in saving my life.
